scarcity mindset

scarcity mindset

Scarcity mindset is a b*tch.

In an effort to make more financial advisors aware of The AGC? we sometimes use LinkedIn to send private messages to advisors and just put the community on their radar. We’re not pushy and really just want them to know there is a community of like-minded advisors who support each other, collaborate, and share in an effort to grow personally and professionally—understanding a rising tide lifts all boats.

It’s safe to say The AGC? is full of abundant mindset advocates.

From time to time, we get responses filled with a scarcity mindset—I saw one this morning, and my immediate thought was how tough it must be to live with skepticism of everyone and the fear that someone will “take” something from you. If an advisor struggles with a scarcity mindset professionally, it’s most likely showing up in other areas of their lives.

My observation was not so much a judgement on this financial advisor because I do not know them, and I have no idea what trauma lies behind that scarcity mindset—there has to be something because I do not believe we are born with scarcity filling our minds.

Instead, my observation was of the impact of a scarcity mindset.

And it’s not just financial advisors who suffer from a scarcity mindset; it rears its ugly head in various areas of our lives—love, friendships, and finances are just a few.

If you find your Self battling a scarcity mindset, I think the best way to combat it is to begin to look for the abundance in your life—it’s there. The more you focus on abundance, the more you’ll see it (like when you get a new car and then you see that car all over the place) and will begin to push scarcity out of your mind.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC

?? A few ways I might be able to help you live your authentic life:

?? LifeDesign+ LifeDesign+ is rooted in the Kinder Institute of Life Planning’s EVOKE process, which is a five-step process to help discover what your authentic life looks like and begin to design a plan to bring that life to reality. It continues to incorporate the alignment of your spirit, mind, body, and money to ensure you evolve with your authentic life, as the authentic life is not a destination, it’s an evolution.

?? LifeDesign+ for financial advisors LifeDesign+ for financial advisors mirrors the LifeDesign+ relationship, including the focus on the alignment of spirit, mind, and body, with an important distinction—once the plan for your authentic life has been designed, we shift our focus to integrating your new plan with your practice.

?? Outsourced life planning As your outsourced life planner, you bring me in to take your client through the Kinder Institute of Life Planning’s EVOKE process to help them better understand who they are, what they want their life to look like, and create a vision of this life for you to execute on the financial plan. Since you are their financial advisor, you will be a part of each of the meetings, so you understand the “why” behind your client’s new plan.
