Scandinavian Monopoly Tenders Update - 31st of January 2025

I hope you have had a great start of 2025!

An announcement by Systembolaget took place the 30th of of January. Announcement was for so called TSV (Fixed purchase tenders). Also ALKO (Finland) announced a new purchase plan the same day.

Systembolaget (Sweden)

New TSV Announcement 30th of January.

Details Systembolaget TSV tenders:

• The tenders have deadlines in the coming 6 months and plan to be launched in the upcoming year.

• Wine tenders from: Chile / Italy / New Zealand / Spain / U.S.A.

• All types of colors as White wine, Red wine and Rose.

• All new tender ask for a Glass Bottle of 750 ml except for one that they ask in 375 ml or 500 ml.

• Please notice that for most tenders it is okay to send samples in a temporary bottle without a final label. Tank samples are accepted for wine, but it is important that the product is prepared the same way as a final product.
• There are no fees to make offers and as a supplier you can withdraw your offer at any time during the tender call process.

ALKO (Finland)

Finland (ALKO) has announced a new purchase plan. Plan was announced January 30th.

In total 40+ tenders majority for wine products from all over the world :

• For Argentina 1 tender, Austria 3 tenders, Australia 5 tenders, Chile 5 tenders, Germany 3 tenders, Spain 4 tenders?, France 6 tenders, Hungary 1 tender, Italy 7 tenders, New Zealand 1 tender, Portugal 2 tenders, England 1 tender, USA 1 tender, South Africa 2 tenders, And a few tenders open to any countries

But you can also discover more than 10+ tenders for spirits products

• For Scotland 3 tenders?
• For France 1 tender?
• And a few tenders open to any countries?

Majority of the tenders are looking for 700ml bottles, with a minimum alcohol level at 40%, but not all of them, so don’t hesitate to check the others.?

ALKO new purchase plans bring different AOP, AOC, DOC, DAC…from all over the world as well as looking for different grapes.?

Majority of the tenders are looking for 750ml bottles, however for some tenders ALKO requires different volumes such as 375ml.?

• Most of the tenders have deadlines in the coming 2-4 months, so be sure to mark your calendars and submit your applications on time. The products are expected to launch in the market in end-2025.
• As a reminder, for the tenders in Finland, samples must be sent with a physical mock up, as evaluation is done on both taste as well as appearance.
