Scanbox Entertainment has acquired a majority stake in Oslo-based distributor Ymer Media

Today,?Scanbox Entertainment?announces the acquisition of majority stakes in the Norwegian distribution outlet?Ymer Media.

Led by?Jarle Namtvedt?and?Cecilie Aas, Ymer Media focuses on releasing independent films across Norway. Over the years, it has handled titles such as War Sailor, Sick of Myself and Past Lives. Ymer Medias management team will continue to lead the company with no changes in operations. Ymer Media will maintain its current team structure and slate of films, and will carry on working closely with its long time partners. Jarle Namtvedt and Cecilia Aas will remain shareholders and owners of the company, and?Torben Thorup J?rgensen, Chief Commercial Officer of Scanbox Entertainment, will?step in as Chairman of the Board for Ymer Media.?
