That’s why we have decided to create a new, strategic internal position to support our portfolio companies even more comprehensively and hire a Head of Talent for Creandum.
Your role within the firm.
As Head of Talent, you will work side-by-side with the founding and senior teams of our portfolio companies and support them to establish best-in-class organizations and attract top talent for long-term success. Since this is an entirely new role at Creandum, we hope that we can build on your previous experience, put our heads together and define this role together as we go. We are very intrigued to see where this journey will take us and hope you will share our excitement. You can expect to build an extensive network and learn about new products, technologies, and modern business models.
Your tasks.
- Design, build and manage the talent function for one of the leading VC firms in Europe.
- Enable portfolio founders and their talent teams to define, design, and implement first-class recruiting and talent management processes.
- Consult portfolio founders on long-term organizational design and respond to their queries on strategic talent decisions.
- Orchestrate and support portfolio companies with key role searches by curating pre-vetted search firms and facilitating relations between them.
- Provide workshops on recruiting, compensation, and talent management.
- Be a knowledge leader in the field of hiring and talent management, and build a compensation benchmarking database.
- Design and develop an appropriate candidate sourcing network.

- Entrepreneurial addiction: You are fascinated by the future and have a strong interest in technological trends and the people enabling them. You are enthusiastic about our portfolio entrepreneurs who challenge the status quo, and it is your desire to facilitate their journey to success.
- Communication: Given the dynamic nature of our operations, we are looking for somebody who keeps cool under pressure and maintains confidence when interacting with stakeholders at all levels. You are a great listener and can precisely distil the most valuable information, and you build trust with those you interact with.
- Mindset: You will be part of a fast-paced environment, so you have no issues working asynchronously and independently. You take ownership and accountability of your own tasks and think of yourself as the entrepreneur of Creandum’s talent function. After all, it’s yours to design, create, and excel with.
Your qualifications.
- You have 5+ years of relevant experience in the technology and/or startup industry, ideally within the European ecosystem.
- You have 3+ years of full-cycle hiring experience either at a search firm or in talent management in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment.
- Relevant education from top academic institutions.
