Scaling as an Open Connector

Scaling as an Open Connector

Remaining an open connector right now is really really hard. I get numerous inbounds via email, LinkedIn and other social channels. I tend to like to spend time getting to know each new person I meet. A typical first meeting would go 80-120min. There was a time when I could manage all of this within a reasonable time span but its become more and more challenging. I've learned that my type of founder engagement does not scale very well. Lucky for me I like to solve challenging problems through small experiments. To solve this one I'm introducing The Lunch.

Starting in April and every 4-6 weeks we will host a Lunch at either the 2ndF office or in RTP at The Boxyard. We will invite 5-6 founders to join us (the 2ndF team) for a 90 minute lunch on us.

We get to meet you and learn who you are

You get to meet us (I'm cool but my teammates are way cooler)

You get to meet other founders that you might not have otherwise connected with

We ALL get to share where we are on our respective journeys

If you can't make the date then there will always be a future lunch that you can hopefully attend. Want to sign up? email us at [email protected] and we will get you on the schedule for the next event.

Looking forward to seeing how this experiment and format works. More to come while keeping it real and open.

What a phenomenal idea. The psychological impact and support for founders will be significant. Keep doing the doing.
