Scaleups-everyone's talking about this.

Scaleups are the new "in thing", so what are they?
According to the Scaleup Institute, Scaleups are defined as businesses that have achieved 20% year on year growth for 3 years.
Brighton & Hove is quoted as being the UK Start-up Capital, with the next step being the Scaleup capital.
According to the Scaleup Institute, closing the scaleup gap has the potential to deliver up to 150,000 jobs by 2034 across the UK, add as much as £225bn towards the UK economy by 2034 and increase productivity across all sectors. So why should you miss out on this?
The move from a microbusiness (less than 9 members of staff) to a Small business, is not an insignificant step. However, the challenges experienced by scaleups as they have to grow so quickly can seriously impact the running of the business. Often the business owner is so deep IN running the business, they have no time to spend ON the business!
"If you ask any successful business person, they will always have had a great mentor at some point along the road" Richard Branson
People like Richard Branson are massive fans of using external minds to provide support. Mentors, coaches and consultants bring a fresh pair of eyes and allow business leaders to 'helicopter up' and see what is really going on. So experts are key!
They also bring a toolkit of approaches from their years of experience and knowledge from other customers, clients and engagements. And whether you have a coach or mentor to help you over time, or a consultant to support you where this is an immediate need to get the work done, you will achieve more than you can on your own.
So what's stopping you?
Often its the unknown, where do you find them? who should you use?
The not so simple answer is they are out there, at networking events, on linked in, and ready and eager to help. So look for communities or companies and get one in for a chat. It'll only cost you your time. And if you like them, and they seem to 'get you', you can arrange further chats. Alternatively get in touch, I have a wide range of people that can help you and am always up for a coffee. Click here if you want to arrange a chat.
Doing nothing is always an approach, but it won't make the problem go away or the solution appear!
So take control, take the steps you need to help your business grow, and engage an expert to help you find the way to success!
