Scala.io

The upcoming Scala.IO conference will bring together Scala enthusiasts and experts for two days of knowledge sharing and in-depth exploration of the theme - including our very own Alexander Rainko with his “There’re no trees where we’re going - scary-stuff-less metaprogramming in Scala 3”! With a variety of talks, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, it’s a hub for anyone passionate about Scala’s constantly evolving ecosystem. Attendees can expect sessions covering cutting-edge topics like Scala 3 advancements, Big Data solutions, and practical insights into software architecture.?

Functional World

This one’s crafted with care by Scalac and will introduce developers to infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform. Hosted by Scalac’s DevOps Engineer, Dariusz Kolczanski, the session will focus on helping developers tackle common challenges when DevOps resources are limited. Dariusz will share essential DevOps practices for securely maintaining and deploying cloud services, reducing dependency on dedicated DevOps teams. This talk is aimed at developers who want to gain practical insights into automating tasks, managing technical debt, and quickly spinning up environments.?

The Atlanta Scala Meetup Group

The Atlanta Scala Meetup is an ongoing virtual gathering for Scala enthusiasts and professionals to connect, share insights, and discuss developments in the Scala universe. The event is held bi-monthly on the first Tuesday of every other month. The meetups are designed to foster community engagement with a flexible format that includes speaker presentations, workshops, and open discussions. It’s an ideal place for developers looking to expand their knowledge, present their work, or network with peers and potential employers.

ScalaBridge London

ScalaBridge London is kicking off Season Six with an in-person meetup at SiriusXM. This time, the main advanced topic is streaming data analytics. The evening starts with an hour of socializing, followed by two hours of hands-on learning and coding.

Dallas Scala Enthusiasts

The Dallas Scala Enthusiasts host a monthly online meetup centered on open discussions, collaborative learning, and social interaction. The session invites participants of all experience levels to suggest topics, ask questions, or present insights of their own. The focus is on fostering an inclusive and informal environment for exchanging ideas about the Scala language, its ecosystem, and practical applications.

Functional Programming Madrid

FP Madrid is hosting A Very Formal Evening, focusing on advanced type systems in programming. The event features two talks: Niki Vazou will present Liquid Haskell: Verification with Refinement Types, exploring how refinement types can enhance type safety and enable light program verification through logical predicates. The second session, El Se?or de los Sistemas de Tipos, led by Juanjo Madrigal and Jorge Luis Mayoral, delves into the expressive power of dependent types and their logic integration within type systems. The evening wraps up with networking, offering a chance to discuss the talks and connect with peers.

London Scala Users' Group?

The London Scala Users' Group invites you to an evening of technical talks centered on resilience, failure handling, and functional programming. Abby Sassel will start with Resilient REST APIs: The Case for Parallel Change, discussing strategies for evolving stable APIs without breaking existing functionality, particularly in business-critical systems. Following this, Olga Mazhara will present Embracing Failure, sharing real-world challenges and solutions in functional web development with Scala. James Talbot wraps up the night with Dioids, introducing a mathematical approach for synchronizing states across numerous devices. The event will feature intermissions for networking, food, and a post-talk pub meetup for deeper discussions.

London Scala Users' Group?

Join fellow Scala enthusiasts for an evening of collaborative coding at the Scala Open Source Hack Night, hosted by the London Scala Users' Group. Whether you're a seasoned developer or a beginner, this event offers an opportunity to contribute to open-source projects, connect with other developers, and sharpen your Scala skills. After a brief introduction, participants will be guided to their projects and will break into groups to start hacking. The evening wraps up with a recap session to share progress and insights. If you have your own project idea or want guidance, the organizers will be there to help!

ScalaBridge London returns for an in-person meetup focusing on community learning and coding. This season’s theme centers on streaming data analytics. The event begins with an hour of casual socializing, followed by two hours of hands-on sessions tailored for developers of all levels. angularday 2024 marks the 8th edition of Italy’s premier Angular conference, organized by GrUSP, the team behind events like reactjsday and jsday. This international gathering is dedicated to Angular developers and enthusiasts, offering a full day of technical talks, networking, and community engagement. Key topics include architecture, component design, state management, PWAs, zoneless strategies, and the latest features like Signals.

ffconf

FFConf returns with a full day of eight curated sessions aimed at developers passionate about the future of web technologies. This Brighton-based conference focuses on forward-looking web trends, challenging conventional approaches, and inspiring new ideas. Each year, FFConf delivers a mix of technical deep-dives and creative explorations.

International Javascript Conference

The International JavaScript Conference (iJS) in Munich offers five days of immersive content dedicated to mastering JavaScript, focusing on frameworks like Angular, React, and Node.js. The event features two workshop days (November 11 & 15) and three conference days (November 12-14), including sessions on topics like frontend architecture, web app performance, AI-driven solutions, and security best practices.

c't <webdev>

This year’s c’t <webdev> conference brings together frontend developers, web enthusiasts, and tech experts for three days of in-depth learning and networking. The event features around 40 talks across three tracks, covering web and mobile development, JavaScript frameworks, UX, accessibility, testing, and CI/CD workflows.

HalfStack London

HalfStack London is back, offering its signature blend of creativity and tech in a relaxed, single-track JavaScript event. Hosted by London’s oldest JavaScript meetup, this gathering will feature 8-12 interactive and entertaining sessions tailored for front-end developers, web enthusiasts, and tech decision-makers. This year’s lineup includes Rowdy Rabouw exploring browser-based audio, Nico Martin diving into on-device AI, and Ana Rodrigues experimenting with the Web Speech API.

performance.now() conference

The fifth edition of performance.now() brings a two-day, single-track conference focusing on the latest web performance insights. Vue.js Forge

Vue.js Forge Episode 5 offers a hands-on experience where developers collaborate to build a real-world application using Vue.js and related tools like Vite, Nuxt.js, and Pinia. This free, one-day event features live coding sessions, expert talks, and mentoring from Vue ecosystem leaders.

JSNation

JSNation US is a major two-day JavaScript conference, featuring over 50 top JS experts in a hybrid format.
