What is your current role at SCA? ? ? ?

Office Manager – Sydney

Tell us about your SCA Journey. Did you study? What did you study? Where did your SCA journey begin? ?

I studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Event Management and began my first office job working for radio industry body Commercial Radio Australia. There, I fell in love with the industry and its people’s passion for work and life. Two years ago, on International Women’s Day I began my SCA journey as an Assistant to the General Manager and recently at the end of 2022 celebrated being promoted to Office Manager. I couldn’t be more grateful for my experience and the women and mentors that have been my cheerleaders.

What do you love about SCA and your role in particular?? ? ? ?

Variety…variety…variety. No two days are the same. I could be organising a fun employee event one day to fixing a leaking dishwasher the next to sitting in strategy meetings and helping facilitate special guest appearances. I’m surrounded by such talented friends and co-workers every day, work doesn’t feel like going to a ‘job’.

What would be some advice you would give to young people starting their career in Media??

Just say ‘hi’! You never know who you are going to meet in the world, connections you will form and one day you may need to call upon your network. Also – make friends with your operations team and Receptionists, it comes in handy from time to time.
