What was your dream job when you were younger?

I've always been fascinated by radio. I got my hands on a shortwave receiver as a five-year-old and was broadcasting my own FM signal by the time I was eleven. Podcasting is essentially radio-on-demand so I'm truly living my childhood dream today.

What is your current role at SCA??

I'm an Audio Producer/Podcast Imager based in Sydney. This means I prep podcast audio and create branding elements for the shows that I look after.

Tell us about your SCA Journey. Did you study? What did you study? Where did your SCA journey begin??

I studied broadcasting at the New Zealand Radio Training School and worked in NZ radio for a few years after that. My first SCA role was with the Traffic team, where I learnt a lot about SCA as an organisation and the Australian media industry in general. I've been in my current role for the past two years and still skip to work every day.

What do you love about SCA and your role in particular??

SCA has a great culture that attracts the most brilliant people! I feel fortunate to work with the best in the biz. My role is great too - I get to do what I love while connecting with people across the country.

What would be some advice you would give to young people starting their career in Media??

Work hard, work smart, and stay curious.

If you had one free hour each day, what would you do?

I'd do an even split: 30 minutes of learning about a topic outside of my usual area of interest and 30 minutes of guided meditation.
