Welcome to the first newsletter of the 2025 season for SBC Summit Malta! You’ve probably already heard the news, but if not, we’re linking the social media post here for you.

For those who haven’t heard yet, here’s the headline: CasinoBeats Summit is no more.

We’re not going to lie:

?? We did spell it "CasinoBEAST" one too many times ??

?? Some of you never quite learned the event name and kept calling it SBC Summit Malta or SBC Malta

Well, congratulations to those who did! You’ve officially earned a spot in the Hall of Fame of Oracles.

Because yes—CasinoBeats Summit is now officially SBC Summit Malta.

Why the Change?

A simple yet reasonable question.

• The event landscape in Malta has seen some changes over the past few months—changes you’re all probably aware of. These shifts left a gap on the island that we’re thrilled to fill by broadening the scope of the event.
• This rebrand also aligns perfectly with our portfolio of regional and global events, most of which carry the SBC Summit brand SBC Summit SBC Summit Americas SBC Summit Rio SBC Summit Tbilisi . (The only exception is the Canadian Gaming Summit , which we acquired a few years ago and retained its name due to its longstanding legacy.)
• Adding "Malta" to the name shows how much we love this island and its big role in shaping the gaming industry we know today. Yes, we’re a sentimental bunch!

What Does This Mean for You?

First and foremost, this rebranding means we’re broadening the scope of the event.?

Here’s what you can expect:

• More diverse content: While the agenda previously focused on all things casino—along with prominent tracks on affiliation and marketing—we’re expanding to include dedicated content on sports betting, payments, compliance, European market changes & predictions, and more.
• A more diverse audience: With the broadened focus, the event becomes relevant to a wider range of profiles. Plus, with so many iGaming companies based in Malta, this is a fantastic opportunity for organisations to send employees they might not typically send to events. There will be interesting content for all kinds of professionals!

• The Game Developer Awards transforming into SBC Awards Europe: While we’ll retain some GDA categories, we’re adding many more to include the entire industry—so stay tuned!

What We’re Excited About

???? European Market Exploration: Regulation is a red-hot topic at every industry event, and SBC Summit Malta (well, CasinoBeats Summit) has historically attracted many regulators. This year, we’re building on that strength by introducing more dedicated panels covering all things regulation.

??? Workshops: We’re introducing two workshop rooms! While we love our panels, workshops offer a more intimate setting and practical takeaways. Topics will include everything from bonus abuse and SEO to HR trends and building a personal brand.

?? INFINITY Malta: Yes, the party that made the informal, unwritten headlines in Lisbon is coming to Malta. Expect EDM vibes and big names! We had Darude, Don Diablo, and Miss Monique in Lisbon, and Afrojack and Dubdogz in Rio—who do you think we’ll have in Malta?

• Expo+ Pass: Includes access to the expo floor and all conference sessions (does not include access to evening networking events). Get your Expo+ Pass for €95.
