SBA Houston District Office Honors Small Business Award Winners

Today, the SBA Houston District Office announced the 2023 National Small Business Week (NSBW) winners. This annual tradition, led by the SBA for more than 60 years, is co-hosted by SCORE, mentors to America’s small businesses. During NSBW, the SBA recognizes the hard work, ingenuity, and dedication of America’s small businesses, and celebrates their contributions to the economy. Nine district winners will be honored during the annual awards celebration.

"We are delighted to celebrate the contributions of small businesses in the Houston District,” said District Director Tim Jeffcoat. “For the second year in a row, the State of Texas Small Business Person of the Year is from the Houston District! This year, South Post Oak Recycling Center is the big winner— a business that represents the innovation and economic power of small businesses everywhere. I look forward to honoring all the winners during the SCORE/SBA Small Business Awards Luncheon.”

The Houston Small Business Awards Luncheon, sponsored by SCORE Houston, will be held on May 3, 2023, at the Royal Sonesta. Bob Charlet, Market President and Publisher of the Houston Business Journal, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
