Saying Yes to ETS.
What's your professional mission statement? How do you define your values, what success looks like, and what matters most to you professionally? In my first fall travel season representing ETS, I have had the opportunity to attend nine College Campus career fairs and meet with over 500 students. Listed below are some of the most memorable/frequent questions that I received this fall:?
1. What is ETS??
2. How does ETS celebrate diversity??
3. How would you describe the culture of the organization??

4. What qualities and experiences does ETS value in its candidates??
At my most recent career fair, a student at Stony Brook University asked one of my favorite questions to date. “Why did you say Yes to ETS?” Being only five months into my position, I resonated with this question.?
My work as a DEI & Campus recruiter aligns with my professional mission. Out of the various positions I have held over the years, I have continued to remain committed to my professional mission; to cultivate a positive environment where students / young professionals can have the opportunity to grow holistically and professionally. Attending career fairs allows me to have intentional conversations with students about their future. Students are excited to meet with recruiters and eager to be exposed to different job industries and experiences. Not only does my position assist me in achieving my professional mission, but as a former educator, I appreciate that ETS encourages its employees to be lifelong learners and celebrates employee longevity and internal mobility.?
Traveling for work can be exhausting; however, I thank that student at Stony Brook for reminding me why I do the work that I do. I’m excited to enter the next phase of the recruitment season. Applications for numerous internship programs will be opening, and we are scheduled to host several virtual events in November 2022 to provide more insight into the inner workings of ETS. In closing, I challenge whoever is reading to take time to reflect on your professional mission and let it fuel the work you do.?
