Saying goodbye to Keith as he retires from Carrs Pasties

Keith joined us?at Carrs Pasties Ltd in 2012, he had?previously run his own business?in refrigeration and was also an electrician by trade.?Keith started out as?our ‘customer service guy’ which he has remained all this time, but he also took on the role of Business Development Manager?in which he?sought new trade partners, set them up with the right equipment, and?showed them how to bake perfect pasties.?Keith has been the face of Carrs Pasties for many years, you may have seen him?in?our videos, or on our social?media, and if you’ve been following us for a long?time?you may even remember ‘Where’s Frank’!

We thought we’d have a quick catch-up with Keith before he goes off to retire?and enjoy a well-earned?break.

How long have you worked at Carrs Pasties??

It’s been 10 years, 3?months,?and 12 days… not that I’ve counted!

What’s one thing you’ll miss?about Carrs Pasties?

Working with a great team of people in the office, their humor is?infectious,?and they’ve kept me young.?

What’s been your favourite thing about working at Carrs Pasties??

The?fantastic?friendships I’ve developed between myself and the staff?over the years, but also with my customers, I’ve loved spending time and getting to know them all. Oh, and?the pasties of course!

What are you looking forward?to about retiring??

I?can’t wait to spend more time in my new home,?and I’m excited to be able to swim daily because I love it!

What’s one of your favourite memories?of Carrs Pasties?

I always enjoyed being involved in the Bolton Hospice Midnight Memories Walk, I greeted the walkers with a pasty at the end for years with John Carr and many others.?

Describe working at?Carrs?Pasties in 3 words:

Real lifelong friendships.

What role have you most enjoyed over the last 10 years??

I’ve loved working with all the trade partners and our customers, but I really enjoyed delivering to events?on Friday and Saturday nights, they were a?laugh?and everyone was always so happy to see you bringing in the pasties!

As we say goodbye to Keith on his last day at Carrs Pasties, we’ll miss him turning up in his whites?every day,?his enthusiasm for the company, and his willingness to always?help others. We wish him all the best for the future!

Thank you all for your kind messages about our Keith. We will pass them on to him ?
