As the saying goes; Time to practice what I preach!

As the saying goes; Time to practice what I preach!

You're looking at one tired but very happy bunny right there!

I've been away for 2 days (so far) in Lytham St Annes, with 26 other business owners learning & exploring how to create content that appeals to our clients. So apologies that this newsletter is later in the day than normal. If you've followed me for any length of time, you'll know I'm not the biggest fan of social media, but 'needs must' and all of that!

Most of the people there already knew about my Flourishing Introvert business and those who didn't soon got to find out as on the first morning we were encouraged to talk about how we help our clients, one by one around the table.

I was able to clearly articulate "I help my clients to know that they are enough, to believe in themselves and their potential so they can flourish as introverts without pretending to be something they're not."

Now I appreciate this type of exercise might have been some introvert's idea of hell, but I found it really empowering to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with other powerful and impressive business owners and say this.

We can sometimes hold ourselves back and call on limiting beliefs like we just can't speak in public, or that this kind of round-the-table introduction is absolutely unbearable, or that no one will listen or take us seriously.

And, those limiting beliefs are just that. If we are ready to step up or forward, we can flip those beliefs so they liberate rather than limit us. And, they do have to be grounded in reality.

When I'm talking about my purpose, my passion, and my calling in life, I find I get really excited.

And, as you can imagine, after 2 days in the presence of so much big energy, I am plum tuckered. My social, emotional, and mental batteries have taken quite a battering, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I've been videoed talking about my business, and whilst I could hear the nerves in my voice, I knew it was heartfelt and authentic, so I really didn't mind. I've had my photo taken more times than I care to count and whilst I don't always love the output, I am who I am. I've contributed to conversations that were not always comfortable, and that's usually pretty interesting.

Knowing I needed to pre and recharge whenever possible, I took my own advice and used my Brilliant Battery Boosters. Check my website if you haven't got your free copy yet - they've proved really popular over the last 4 years. Anyway, I caught little breaks away from everyone where I could, I found the quietest rooms when the noise levels got too high, and I dined in the evenings with small groups of understanding souls. And, our conversations have been inspiring.

I experimented with new ideas and concepts, talked freely about my own stumbling blocks, and made plans with new friends and colleagues.

I have learned so much over these 2 days about me, about my commitment to my cause, about others (including their gifts and quirks), and about where I want to take this business next.

These things add richness and dimension to my life that I know keeps me curious and growing. Just as well one of my business principles is Purposeful Curiosity.

So, my invitation to you over these next 2 weeks is to do stuff that challenges you, (my upcoming podcast episode is about bravery) and remember to look after your battery needs so you can participate rather than miss out on opportunities to grow.

Tomorrow? Well, I plan on having a late breakfast, mooching around the shops, and having a quiet afternoon before the celebration ball. Yes, I'll be glamming up & joining in again, as this introvert is no shrinking violet!

I plan plenty of recharging time at the weekend, so the phone will definitely be on DND.

I’ve absolutely LOVED sharing this week and experience with you! The challenges these things can bring to us as an introvert can often stop us - I’m so glad this one didn’t stop me! ??????
