Say hello to the next generation!

Say hello to the latest addition to our Estremar Team. Estremar is each year employing a group of students as interns. The students gets to learn from our great team and develop from our long experience in the industry, but even more important; the students are challenging what we are already doing. They bring a positive energy and a different mind set, and they are eager to learn and apply the latest learnings from their respective studies. This is a clean win-win situation where the students and the company can grow together and be prepared for the future!

Purchasing interns

Sandra is our most senior student. She has been with us for almost a year now, and going strong! Rocio just started in January. She is already showing a good attitude and openness to learn. The philosophy in the department is to let Sandra and Rocio be a integrated part of the department, allowing them to handle all tasks that our senior members are doing to get a proper view of the trade.

Technical interns

Martin and Nicolas are both students from the well renowned Naval Engineering school, Universidad Technologia Nacional, UTN. Both started in Estremar late January 2021. They will test their knowledge in the technical department and contribute to our team. Our vast knowledge and wide range of technologies within the company and the 3 large factory trawlers is the perfect foundation to test and develop their knowledge. We hope to provide them with real life challenges and hands on approach to our operation.

HR intern

Federica also started in January. She has already shown to be an asset from day one in our continuous improvements in the HR department. Managing the amount of employees related to operation of 3 large factory trawler is not straight forward. Federica will, in addition to help out with general day to day tasks, be focusing on helping out on a development project related to streamline and bring our employee related data management system to the next level.

Reporting improvement project student

Conrado is a student on a mission! He is an IT student in the University of Buenos Aires, UBA. Conrado is in estremar to look into how to structure and simplify how we handle big data in the company. The opportunities in this project is endless and part of our strategy to be in front of traceability, sustainability and on point reporting to all stake holders.
