My wife Carrie Doll and I founded The Luxus Group back in 2007 based on our own personal challenges with travel. With just starting a family, we needed more size for our vacations, and the problem with the vacation rentals we were finding was the lack of consistency. It wasn’t so much about luxury, but rather about certainty. We just wanted to know what to expect when we got to the vacation rental... are the mattresses any good? does the TV have cable? is the kitchen stocked with what we need to make a meal for the family? would there by more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom?! All things that appear simple, but to this day are still the biggest challenges with vacation rentals. You just don’t know for sure what you are going to get until you arrive... and for us, the anxiety leading up to a trip wondering what the property would actually be like was taking the fun out of it.

Ultimately, no matter the price point of a rental, I truly believe travellers just want certainty. And that is what we sought to create with Luxus Vacation Properties.?
