Say Hello to AI in the World of Marketing

Every business is a digital business. Technology is your innovation engine, and delivering your applications faster simply helps you win. Historically, that required a lot of manual effort and complicated coordination. Today, IT organizations demand simple automation that eliminates repetitive tasks and frees up admin teams for more strategic work. Modern, dynamic environments need a new type of management solutions that can improve speed, scale and stability across enterprise IT environments.

The communication services landscape is changing, which means service providers need to change their support systems and?processes.

Digital transformation and automation have been very big topics for service providers during the past few years. So, what would be different about these topics recently?

Reality is a word that comes to mind. The need for digital transformation is really here. We are no longer talking about the need for a certain business imperative and it’s driven by two key things. First would be customers of all those operators are absolutely demanding a different experience, a digital experience. Also, we are farther along in the evolution of the technology so we’ve got things like 5G that are alive and well today, so for agencies like ourselves, automation technology is matured to a point where it can really deliver on the promises of this digital environment. Those two things are certainly different than they have been in the past.

If we think about what does it really mean to give your customers a digital experience, there are a couple of key concepts: one is very agile in real-time where you have to present a number of capabilities and services and products in real-time, they have to change very frequently to keep customers interested, and when they “order” them, they expect to get them in near real-time, so automation is a must. There are highly complex architectures and technologies that require us to really evolve into a state where automation plays a much bigger role. It’s almost impossible to deliver that real experience without a great deal of automation in the background.

So, could you imagine if a powerful tool could do marketing for you? Heard of AI? Sure you did. This is how AI is changing marketing and SEO.

Technology has not made marketing easy, but it sure made it way easier. We have tools that monitor and analyze using AI. For example, it can tell you if there’s something wrong with your paid ad budgets. As an SMB or even an enterprise company, you all have budgets. You don’t want something to go over, but of course, you want to scale it up. But in case something goes wrong, and you lose money, you want to make sure you stick within those budgets.

Or, if a page breaks on your site, and you have 404 error page, you want to be notified right away, especially if that page generates lots of traffic, you don’t want to lose that organic ranking or waste all that money you were spending on paid ads and just ruin your quality score. You would even benefit from auto excluding ineffective ad placements, right? You don’t want to spend your money on something that doesn’t simply work. There are cases where your whole campaign is profitable, but there are certain parts of the campaign that aren’t profitable or performing at their best. In that case, you want to stop the underperforming ones so you can spend more money on the placements that are performing. That way, you would make even more profit.

Ever heard of an automated SEO AI tool? It’s a search engine that can calibrate itself to be like any search engine that you want it to be. For example, let’s say you want it to be like Google. When you make changes to your site, it can take months before Google sees an impact, and months before you even get the ranking position that you want. So, you can make adjustments through some tools, see what it would be, and that way you don’t have to wait months to figure out if your change was a good change or a bad change. Either way is possible. And that way, you will see if the SEO experiments you are running are going to be positive versus negative because not all experiments work out. Sure, it’s not going to be identical to Google’s algorithm because they make roughly 8-10 changes a day, but it will give you a good idea what’s going to work and what’s not going to work.

Now, we will move to content creation tools. Content creation tools, especially the ones that are using AI, are not perfect, but they save you a lot of time. What if you have tools that help you with your titles, outlines and even paragraphs, and you just have to go in and put some keywords? It will help you set up all this content for you, and then you just had to go in and make it better. Those tools might give you a head start and can save you, sometimes, half the time when it comes to creating content, which is HUGE! Especially if you hate writing content. This could be a zen moment for you.

Do you want to get more traffic from your writing? Guess what? There’s a tool for that also. Those tools can get you more traffic from your writing, and that’s because it helps you produce content that’s highly relevant to what people are searching for. It helps you determine what topics you should focus on, as well as the writing aspect of your content creation such as headings and keywords that you should use within your content to get the most traffic.

Now that we covered some tools you should try, here’s where marketing and AI are going in the future. With SEO, there are teams of people working on AI machine learning where you can put Javascript on your website and it just does all your SEO for you so you don’t have to end up changing any aspect of your on-page code and the tool will do it for you. What would you think about using machine learning and AI and running experiments to figure out if you can even match build links to do the outreach for you, all automated, and get you linked without having a human do it? And with marketing, you are going to see AI integrated into all forms of marketing. Not just SEO, but also things like digital billboards. You can end up telling a platform that you have a budget of X pounds and eventually it will test placing that it will know that you will get ROI from. And, that’s where you are going to see the future of marketing. It certainly doesn’t mean that all the AI is going to replace humans because we humans can do a lot of creative thinking.
