You no doubt have recently learned in the trades that Amazon has given a pilot order to a half-hour series that hails from Jason Katims, based on the Israeli format “On the Spectrum” created by Dana Idisis and Yuval Shafferman. Well, since timing is everything, I would be remiss if I didn't share some "insider information" with you (that's 100% legal, of course!):

The CEO of Bruce Gordon Media has acquired the rights to a TV pilot and show bible adapted from the award-winning "Whole 'Nother Level" short film. It's about 20-something roommates and friends with mild cerebral palsy and other disabilities, striving for the same things that we all desire: To get a job, keep a job, live independently, make friends, fall in love, and enjoy a world that just seems out of reach for them.

This short, created as a TV show proof-of-concept, was selected for the Festival de Cannes Court Métrage (Short Film Corner) and other international festivals, including the disability-themed International Festival Entr'2 Marches (Between 2 Steps) in Cannes. It's currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video (USA & UK), has been selected for multiple public library catalogues, and has been required viewing for some disability-related courses in schools.

Bruce Gordon Media is currently interviewing A-List TV studios or production companies in the USA and/or UK to partner with us in producing "Whole 'Nother Level" as a network, cable or streaming TV series.
