Saving Limbs: A novel Total Contact casting system
The greatest barrier to total contact casting (TCC), the gold standard for off-loading a diabetic foot ulcer, is the need for a power saw to remove the cast. Wound clinic practicioners are unfamiliar with the standard cast saw and are reluctant to chance the concomitant injuries. This simple, novel system eliminates the need for a cast saw potentially saving limbs and lives

6 年Thats a fantastic device for current casts, very similar to the saws I used in plaster work! Currently I am working on two cast concepts that are low cost one of which is able to breath as well as get wet!
