Savers are losers
The controversial message by Robert Kyosaki, "Savers are losers" (see video below), needs to be seen in context to understand that it is not a personal attack.
Savers are losers, not because saving is bad, BUT because by "saving" you knowingly or unknowingly choose to invest in the currency you are saving in. This is one of the reasons why Mr. Kyosaki says that savers are losers. Let me explain it this way: most monetary systems are backed by debt. The money loses its buying power as the debt increases (increased money in circulation, causing an artificial demand pull price increase), and this is one of the main reasons for inflation. Mr. Kyosaki mentions rental real estate in the video. I understand that this is not everybody's cup of tea. I also do not currently have the appetite for it.
I have decided to not be a loser, to save in gold and gold-backed crypto-currencies, for short- and long term.
