SAVE THE BOY CHILD DOUBLE RACE FESTIVAL
(DOUBLE ROAD RACE SPONSORSHIP)
RE: ABOUT THOMSON’S FALLS DOUBLE ROAD RACE FESTIVAL
DOUBLE ROAD RACE is a unique race with a half-time rest. The event was invented by Bob Anderson from USA and is held in all major cities around the world. In Kenya, it is held annually in Nyahururu and this year’s event will be held on Saturday 3rd September 2016 in conjunction with Thomson’s Falls Lodge. The theme of the race is “Save the Boy child, Save the Society, Save the Nation.”
As it is in our country today, the boy child is a neglected lot thus making him vulnerable to vices for escapism and consolation.
The Thomson’s Falls Lodge Double Road-Racing Festival (TFLDRF) aims to raise Ksh. 5million towards the construction of a recreation/rehabilitation Centre in Laikipia County for a start before we roll out country wide facilities. Meanwhile we continue to hold seminars and workshops for the boy child endangerment awareness. If we hit our goal of raising Ksh. 5million, we will immediately commence our project of supporting the boy child.
This project is very important to the community around and the country at large, as you well know, the Kenyan boy child once neglected or left without proper guidance will start drug/alcohol abuse as well as engaging in criminal activities due to lack of moral support. I know you can do all that is necessary and in your reach to support our boy child and save our nation. By being able to raise the intended amount of money, the first phase of the planned project, will immediately kick off.
We know you acknowledge and appreciate the fact that the boy child is an important asset in our society. By guiding and giving direction on the correct path to take in life will lead us to a very healthy and wonderful Kenyan society.
We shall truly be very grateful for your donation or support in any form as we believe that our combined effort and commitment towards supporting this course will go a long way in shaping the life of our future leaders and hero’s.
Initiating and commencing this project will keep Thomson’s Falls Lodge Athletics Club and your company connected on this noble course.
Thanks in advance.
These are the scheduled events that will take place on that day. We also welcome you to participate in a double race category of your choice.

VISION MISSION OF DOUBLE RACE SAVE THE BOY CHILD
SAVING THE BOY CHILD
Thomson’s falls Double Racing Festival (TFDRF)
Theme: - “Save the boy, Save the society, Save the NATION.”
Mission: - “To mobilize, highlight, enlighten and address the plight of the boy child.”
Vision: - “To use all means available to uplift the boy child self-esteem.”
OBJECTIVES
1) Mentorship, guidance, and cancelling to the boy child to boost his morale.
2) Build confidence to the boy child; By talking to him through teachers, religious leaders, parents, education officers and people in authority.
3) Provide moral, financial, material, spiritual, education and mental support to the boy child.
4) Counter the negative talk about the boy; “associating him with vices.”
5) Keep the boy child engaged in sports and other beneficial activities.
6) Bring together our youthful boy child in developmental groupings other than tribal and criminal gangs.
7) Bring-up recreational Centre’s where the youth can engage in various games e.g. drama, singing, darts etc.
REASON FOR TFDRF
The boy child is under siege, pro-girl child campaigns that intensified in the early 1980s left out the feeling that boys were getting undue advantage; this pushed away the boy child and he is now at the periphery of the development sphere.
1) Enrolment of the boy child in school has gone down significantly while the drop-outs has risen, what is happening to the boy child is real and needs to be addressed fast before things get out of hand.
2) Taking into the consideration, statistics show that the birth rate of boy to girl is at 1:3 we find that;-
? A good number of boys are shot down by police, killed by mob or lynched for various reasons.
? The number of males in Kenyan prisons is more than 7 times that of females
? The biggest percentage of youths who commit suicide, homeless and runaway children in our society are from fatherless homes.
3) These are clear indications of the absence role models at home, absence of father figure at home brings in behavior disorder.
CHALLENGES BEING FACED BY THE BOY CHILD
1. Boychild is considered superior hence his qualifying standards raised above the girlchild.
2. In our society, the boy is mistreated and forced to bottle up the anguish and pain. The boy is supposed to persevere and not cry or show weakness.
3. The boy child is prone to sexual assault as the girl child is.
4. The sad truth is that the very few listen to the boy child speaking out, he is shunned and assumed to handle their issues.
For solace, the boy child mans-up and secretly deals with own problem. He turns to vices, narcotics, alcohol abuse and crime seems to be the way to find consolation.
TFDRF IS HERE TO INTERVENE BEFORE KENYAN MALE GENERATION GETS DEVOURED. A CHILD IS A CHILD; OUR BOY CHILD SHOULD NOT SUCCUMB TO DESTITUTION. HE IS JUST AS VULNERABLE AS THE GIRL CHILD.
