The development of women's football in Saudi Arabia is a part of broader social change. The country has established a first and second-tier women's league, including a total of 25 teams, created regional training centers for girls aged six to 17, introduced an U-17 women's side, and has over 1,000 coaches and almost 50,000 girls participating in the schools league. The number of referees has increased by 66% and the number of clubs by 56% in a short period of time, demonstrating the rapid growth of the sport. Saudi Arabia serves as a shining example of how football can inspire social development and change.
