Saudi Arabia opens the biggest food park in the world in Jeddah and plans to invest $5.3 billion.

Saudi Arabia has launched the Jeddah Food Cluster, a SR20 billion ($5.3 billion) project aiming to establish the city as a global business hub and the world's largest food park by area, spanning 11 million sq. meters. The cluster is expected to create over 43,000 jobs and boost Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals of food security, self-sufficiency, and economic diversification.

Located in Jeddah’s Second and Third Industrial Cities, the cluster includes 124 factories producing 4 million tonnes annually, with plans for further expansion. It features advanced infrastructure, cold storage facilities, and a central lab for food safety, aligning with the National Industrial Strategy to attract investment and enhance exports.

The inauguration, led by Prince Saud bin Mishal and attended by top officials, highlighted the cluster's strategic importance. Memorandums were signed to foster training, innovation, and quality control in the food industry. The cluster is projected to contribute SR7 billion to GDP over the next decade, solidifying Saudi Arabia’s role in the global food sector.
