SAUDI ARABIA CHANGE RULES REGARDING COSMETICS PRODUCTS LABELS

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has issued the circular number 2/37719 of 19.02.2025, with the last news for the labels used in their territory.

From that date no cosmetic product Label shall contain any indication, signs or phrases “that are understood to be manufactured for a market other than the Saudi market”.

The mere presence of those elements will be taken as a violation of the Cosmetics Claims Regulation (SFDA.CO/GSO 2528).

Such an occurrence will negate the clearance as customs of any product.

All manufacturers, importers and warehouse managers will be affected by this decision by the SFDA.
