Saudi Arabia: 5 University Hospital PPP projects in the pipeline for 2024

Last year, Saudi Arabia listed 11 education projects under the new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) programme, including 5 new university hospitals expected to be tendered in 2024.

The projects involve completing the construction of buildings, equipping them, and medical and non-medical operations in alignment with educational standards and norms of the university and health system. The projects are anticipated to be procured under O&M contracts; however, contract duration and tendering timelines are not yet specified and are expected to be released with the tender announcements later this year.

The five projects are:

• Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University Hospital, Dammam;
• Jazan University Hospital, Jazan;
• Umm Alqura University Hospital, Makkah;
• Tabuk University Hospital, Tabuk; and
• King Khalid University Hospital, Abha.
