On Saturday Morning

Saturday morning, I woke up feeling a sense that something was way off!
You see, the day before, my husband and I met with a person we would potentially hire to outsource their services for a future project.
They are super talented, and that's what drew my interest in meeting with them in the first place. However, after two meetings, I tried to convince myself it was the right person for the job, with alarms sounding off internally.
I wanted what I thought would be the best for the project. However, the "best" ended up not being the best fit for us.
So many clues that I ignored to try and make what didn't fit - fit.
Nothing wrong with the person and the services. It just didn't fit with our vision.
We both tried to make it work, and ultimately, I believe the person we were going to hire integrity kicked in and fired themselves or fired us before we came to a final decision.
Good for them because they listened to their gut. It wasn't the right fit for either of us.

When I woke up Saturday morning, I told my husband that something felt off with the person we were considering hiring, which was weird because I was excited about the idea the night before.
What happened?
My intuition kicked in while I was relaxed in bed to grab my full attention while I wasn't busy doing other things.
So, I likely picked up on their feeling of conflict while also recognizing all of the signs they were not the right fit that I initially dismissed because I was trying to make it work.
Thank you, life, for the reminder to slow down and listen to my initial gut feeling for what's in alignment before settling.
When you deviate from what's in alignment for you, the feeling will be off. So trust your Spidey senses and never settle for what is not a good fit for you. Your intuition always has your best interest at heart.
Trust it!
