I make no apologies for posting this statement.
Here's why:
If I had been satisfied, I would never have learnt to walk, all those times that I tried, and fell flat on my bum.
If I had been satisfied, I would never have learnt how to ride that bicycle, all those times I tried and came off it.
If I had been satisfied, I would never have finished school all those times I struggled with maths and chemistry.
If I had been satisfied, I would never have gone for the next higher paying job, after becoming comfortable at my existing job.
If I had been satisfied, I would have never joined a gym and stayed consistent with my workouts, when I put on weight.
If I had been satisfied, I would have never started a business, given that I had a well paid corporate position.
If I had been satisfied, I would have never excelled at what I do as an advisor.
If I had been satisfied, I would have never started a men's movement to lead and inspire other men, given that my own personal life is in order.
If I had been satisfied, I would have never made the decision to go from being a 'ladder climber' for myself to becoming a 'ladder builder' for others.
If I had been satisfied, I would never have become a relentless learner for myself and for others.
All human progress is born out of someone's dissatisfaction, so where there is satisfaction, there is no progress.

8 年There does seem to be an implied halt to forward momentum with 'satisfied'. Save it for the deathbed??
