Sarvodaya Day
Sarvodaya Day is observed in India to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on January 30, 1948. The term "Sarvodaya" means "universal uplift" or "progress of all" and was popularized by Gandhi, inspired by John Ruskin's book Unto This Last.
