Mata Lakshmi! You have progeny in Kardama. (Hence) O Kardama, may you reside in me. Make Mother Shri with garlands of lotuses, to have Her abode in my (ancestral) line. May the (holy) waters create friendship (they being of an adhesive nature). O Chiklita (Progeny of Shri), reside in my home; and arrange to make Divine Mother Shri to stay in my lineage! Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are said to have two daughters Amritavalli and Sundaravalli who are married to Lord Kartikeya.

The Rigveda mentions the 18 sons of Mahalakshmi which are

1.Devasakha. 2. Chiklita 3. Ananda 4. Kardama 5. Shriprada 6. Jataveda 7. Anuraga 8. Samvada 9. Vijaya 10. Vallabha 11. Mada 12. Harsha 13. Bala14. Teja 15. Damaka 16. Salila17. Guggula18. Kuruntaka

Mahalakshmi's beauty is exquisite and heavenly such that Lord Vishnu is mesmerised by her beauty. ?Goddess Lakshmi incarnated as Sita in the Treta yug, Rukmini and Radha in the Dwapara yug and Padmavati in the Kali yug. She will incarnate as Padma and marry Lord Kalki when the end of Kali will come near. Mahalakshmi was also born as Vedavati who later immolated herself and reborn as Sita to be the cause for Ravana to perish.

They are collectively called Tridevi (consorts of Tridev). Goddess Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge ,arts, music, beauty, learning, etc. She is the wife of Lord Brahma (The Creator). Goddess Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth, fortune, beauty, positivity, prosperity etc. She is the wife of Lord Vishnu (The Preserver). Goddess Shakti, commonly known as Goddess Parvati is the Goddess of Power, beauty, love, destruction, devotion, fertility, nourishment etc. She is the wife of Lord Shiva (The Destroyer). So, these three Goddesses represent many qualities that should be there in us. So they have one thing in common, that all three are equally supreme. Sharanye Traimabake Gauri Mahalakshmi Namostute

SHE is just not idol, SHE is within, all pervading and invisible, untouched gives power to nervous system to perform, to earn riches through HER strength, the SOUL Unaware of this we take pride, as if it is our own strength, but SHEis benign, continues to look after our well being. The people who are not aware of HER prowess within, look outside for help, making themselves ignorant about their own illumination, bestowed by God who functions as spirit or Soul within. If only we are grateful to whatever we have, attributing it to Higher Self or God residing at heart centre, we will be kept away from all evil forces (Kama, lobha, moda, mada, matsarya), and we tread flowery path bestowed to us, by HIS concert Mother Spirit (Soul) looking after sustenance of body every moment, but untouched by HIM (virgin energy), healing power of highestorder within. No disease or death can touch us, if we are in meditation with our Self. Yoga teaches us true surrender, which goes into routine every moment. Om Shanti Om????
