Saraki, Dogara lament inadequate role for youth in politics
The President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Wednesday decried the poor participation of young people in active politics leading to usurpation of roles meant for the youth by older politicians in the polity. The presiding officers equally bemoaned inadequate representation of youths in leadership positions at various levels of government in the country. Both presiding officers made their remarks at the inauguration of the Nigerian chapter of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)-Forum of Young Parliamentarians (FYP), headed by Hon.
