Sarah Dandashy Wins the Andy Pongco Award for 2015!

I was just announced as the Andy Pongco Award Winner for 2015 by Les Clefs d'Or International! For those not in the concierge community, this would be an equivalent of "Most Up and Coming Concierge in the World."

It was really a tough competition--an Award intended to showcase, introduce, and encourage early friendships in young concierge. There were 16 of us selected from around the world, representing different countries/sections. We were given tests and essays to complete, had a 15 minute interview with the six judges, and watched from the moment we arrived to see if we were making an effort to mingle with everyone. This event was attended by  nearly 400 concierge from around the globe. This also marked the first time in the history of the award that a candidate from the USA won! It was really heartwarming to make friends across hotel brands, destinations, and cultures. 

I will leave Argentina with nearly 400 concierge friends from around the world, willing to assist when we have shared guests or need anything in their area of expertise. This profession has a very long history internationally, and it is a honor beyond words to become a part of it--all the while representing both the USA and The London West Hollywood!
