Sapura Energy secures first job in Abu Dhabi

Malaysian-based global oil and gas player Sapura Energy Bhd continues to make headways in the industry by winning its first job in Abu Dhabi via its partnership with Petrofac Emirates LLC, from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), for the Dalma Gas Development Project.

Scope of works to be performed by both parties includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of all offshore facilities, several wellhead platforms, and 189km of subsea pipelines, cables and umbilical forming the Dalma Gas Development Project.

Sapura Energy is committed of delivering the project using its hallmark technical capabilities in offshore engineering and construction. The job will take about 30 months to complete.

The Dalma Gas Development Project is a key part of the Ghasha ultra-sour gas concession, which is central to ADNOC’s strategic objective of enabling gas self-sufficiency for the United Arab Emirates.
