Operating from its state-of-the-art integrated facilities in Silivri, spanning 73,400 square meters of covered space, the company has commenced utilizing 100% renewable green energy generated from natural resources, achieving zero emissions.

Emphasizing that the transition to renewable energy is an important step in Sapro's sustainability journey, Sapro's General Manager Murat G?nül says, "Renewable energy sources produce less greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels. In this way, it also plays an important role in the fight against global warming and climate change. Explaining that they have also increased their energy efficiency with the ISO 50001 energy management system within the scope of sustainability studies, G?nül said, “In 2022, we reduced our total greenhouse gas emission value by 6% and reduced our carbon emissions as much as the benefit provided by more than 800 thousand trees. We aim to reduce our scope 1 and scope 2 emissions by 42% and our scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030. Our long-term goal is to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 90% by 2045. This goal is also in line with the 1.5 degree global warming roadmap. Our institution, which is among the companies that make the most sustainability investments in its field in Turkey, will continue to carry out new studies in parallel with our sustainability goals.”
