SAPphire 2023- perspectives from ground zero
Following up with Day1 updates from #sapphire2023,
here's the summary of takeaways from final day of #sapphire2023 (adding to Day1: ( https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/anupamj_sapphire2023-activity-7064445646610563072-f07t )
1)???Minimize the data movement & analyze it in-situ, while reducing data silos: this has been a personal mission for me & resonance from likes of Juergen Mueller & others @ SAP is just great. For 40+ years, so many organizations have been tuned to copying data & making decisions on the copies of this data that I saw even the cloud teams struggling with no-replication models but this is an idea whose time has come. Datasphere is promising 80%+ reduction in the data movement.
2)???Business network for Industry extends the largest transactable B2B business network further for supply chain resilience, with easier adoption path & faster time to value.
3)???Finally had the opportunity to get the first view of #IBMWatson’s integration with SAP. The scenario shown is quite relevant (Maintenance activity scheduling for field operations) & with the capability to use list of work orders, use geo-spatial information & generative AI in NLP (Natural Language Processing mode), there is a lot of promise here for operations organizations. Thanks Devraj Bardhan from #IBM, I plan to understand its usage better at Utilities / other field services.
