Gartner says SuccessFactors UX Impresses, SAP Integration Needs Work
SAP’s SuccessFactors received high praise in Gartner’s latest Talent Management Magic Quadrant report, coming in as the top company in terms of “completeness of vision” and “ability to execute”—placing it in Gartner’s “Leaders” quadrant with competitors Oracle and Cornerstone OnDemand.
Among the things that Gartner says SuccessFactors does right for its estimated 4,000 customers is its “market-leading performance, learning and workforce planning solutions.” Gartner adds that SuccessFactors has dominant mind share in the talent management suite market and notes that SAP has been tops in add-on sales for its component customers.
Gartner says SuccessFactors customers rate its ease of use, product quality and system performance above average among talent management suite applications in the study. Scoring high in ease of use and product quality was important, as they came in as the top two product criteria in the report for customers
Room to Improve: Integration is always a concern with enterprise software, and Gartner saw a greater number of comments to that point in this year’s report. Integration is also an area where Gartner says SAP and SuccessFactors can do better. So from a research and partner perspective that is where SAP needs to seek improvement—making that highly-regarded SuccessFactors product quality and user experience fit better within the broader SAP framework for customers
