Just returned from our 3rd Central Finance Thought Leadership summit in beautiful Miami which I had the pleasure to host once more.
With SAP Central Finance becoming the go-to S/4 adoption option for customers with multi-ERP system landscapes and ample customer success stories and testimonials already in place it was great to get together with our key thought leaders from Accenture, Bluefin, CapGemini, Deloitte, EY, IBM, PWC, and TruQua to talk about the latest additions and plans going forward. We
- reviewed the latest 1709 additions
- discussed that and how the entity close can be supported in / with Central Finance
- talked in detail about the newly released central AP/AR processing including ability to go from isolated, to central, to automated processing SAP Cash Management (machine-based execution of cash application)
- feedback and experiences gained using our pre-defined 3rd party integration capabilities (provided by Magnitude), supporting the newly releases SAP 3rd party STG area - as alternative to expensive, error-prone, time-consuming custom interface development
- looked at soon-to-be released (for Central Finance use) partner products from Opentext (central Vendor Invoice Management) and Blackline (central Account Reconciliation)
- discussed that and how Central Finance supports the transition from costing-based CO-PA in the SAP ERP source systems to Profitability in S/4-based Central Finance system
