SAP S/4HANA transformation (over)challenges

The transformation to S/4HANA is not an easy task and companies face great challenges during this transition. High expectations often meet a lack of information and resources, both internal and external, that are urgently needed for the transformation.

Although 85 percent of the 200 companies surveyed are planning an S/4HANA transformation in the next three years, almost half of the companies stated that they did not already have enough time to prepare for the transformation. The biggest challenge: the inclusion of all business areas and stakeholders. This conflicts with the desire to use the transformation to achieve comprehensive automation of processes, dissolution of data silos and performance optimization of the entire system.

There is currently a very strong demand for expert advice in the cloud environment. By one of the forecast: by summer 2022 at the latest, there will be overheating tendencies. This means that companies that start late with the S/4HANA transformation could then lose out.
