We’ve been looking at packaged solution success stories. This time around, we talk to Greenlight Commerce.
Full-service digital commerce agency, Greenlight Commerce, has rolled its broad and deep knowledge of customer experience with SAP Commerce Cloud into its packaged solution “Hylight Commerce for Wholesale Distribution”.
Launched earlier this year, it has been designed and developed with the wholesale distribution sector – and more specifically the commerce space – in mind.
Managing Director of Greenlight Commerce, Kevin Murray explained: “We’ve built on the work SAP has done and identified and incorporated key features to make the platform richer. Its attributes are applicable across different verticals from electricals to food to spare parts and components.”
The team, which is headquartered in London with customers in more than 40 markets worldwide, developed the package based on years of experience working within the retail and B2B sectors.
“It was a smooth process,” adds Kevin. “We knew what we wanted to do and built in features that we specifically knew would be relevant from a management perspective within wholesale distribution.
“We’re experts in SAP Commerce tech, so it was about developing features that are specific for the customer base, but flexible enough to iterate it for each of their individual needs.”
A roundtable - with key wholesale and distribution industry leaders - was held to launch the solution back in February. Discussions around the ecommerce challenges and opportunities faced by the sector formed the basis of a white paper, which was marketed as part of a holistic approach. Other tactics included LinkedIn campaigns, organic social media posts and industry magazine advertising and a promotional video.
So far, the response from existing and potential customers has been extremely positive, with the solution opening up new conversations for Kevin and his team.
“We’ve already seen different levels of engagement based on different market sectors and their levels of maturity; we’re delighted with the lead generation and conversion that’s open to us. As a strategic SAP partner we’re expecting this to be a medium- long term investment and we can see us broadening the solution out, to bring in other CX suite products, such as SAP marketing cloud, SAP customer data cloud and, of course, Qualtrics.”
