SAP Integration Weekly

SAP Integration Weekly

I hope you had a great week!

It is almost weekend.

Figaf will be an AI-driven company.

It has been a topic that I have been asked about for the last year. I saw little we could contribute. After SAP Sapphire, I decided to start an adventure and see if we could create something worthwhile.?

It ended up as a meme?

API Anomaly Detection in SAP Integration Suite

API anomaly detection may soon hit your Integration Suite. When I saw the demos of the AI iFlow generation and the Anomaly detection i thought they it would take long before we would see it.? (Soon) You can use it to manage your APIs. As I understand it it will flag if your usage changes. Then you can decide what to do for such cases. You should have avoid some of the pitfalls during the creation of the API. Like rate limiting or IP filtering. But you don't know if the rate should be 200 or 300 request per minute and what backed would enable you to work with.? But it is also nice to get some validation after you run the APIs in real life.

?

Read more about it here.

Event Mesh in SAP Integration Suite

Event Mesh is now a standard of the SAP Integration Suite. It will enable you to explore Event Driven Architecture. This is great news for SAP Users. It will be an excellent way to explore how you can consume events from your S/4 system or other event publishers. There are some limitations compared to Advanced Event Mesh. It will work in many scenarios and give a better understanding of what is possible with events at a large scope.

? It will be fair be something I am looking forward to explore (if we can enable it on our partner tenant).?

Edge Integration Cell now on Red Hat

You can now use Redhat to run your Edge Integration Cell. I think this opens up for a some more use cases where customers have the knowledge about running Redhat Openshift.

Headers and Exchange Properties by the Integration Framework

SAP Expert Morten Wittrock has shared more useful resources if you are a SAP Cloud Integration Developer.

Check out his post on LinkedIn and if you find it useful, make sure you give him a follow on LinkedIn.

Check out the SAP Help Portal page on the topic that he shared.?

Moving large files in SAP Cloud Integration

SAP Cloud Integration can move large files. This will get in trouble with Integration Architects. For the 20 years I have worked with SAP integration, I have always tried to be pragmatic. SAP Cloud Integration was not designed to move large files.

It was designed to handle messages efficiently, and it is really good at it. But you will get into scenarios where you must move or process larger files. SAP Cloud Integration license is based on the number of messages you use. If you move a 100 Mb file it will cost 400 messages. If you do that for 30 days it will be 12.000 messages or about 8 EUR on the highest price. And 2 EUR if you use many messages.

It is a pretty good discussion on the post
