SAP Integration weekly

I hope you had a great week!

Michael and I attended a LinkedIn event to learn how to use the platform better. We got some ideas for new content.?

I am happy to say that the Figaf LinkedIn page has surpassed 2,000 Followers.

I want to thank you for following and supporting us. If you haven't started following the company page, then make sure you.

API management improvement with AI

We saw this in the keynote at SAP SApphire, and it is already scheduled to be deployed on your tenants. I guess not the LLM but the regular ML.?

Approving of transports

Who is approving your transport? ?? Who is in charge of approving your transports for SAP Integration. Do they have enough knowledge about the transport, or do they just look if the documents have been set up correctly? I often see that it is some basis person that are handling the transport. They just check that the transport have been logged with the correct number in the ITSM system. I think that was a mistake. They don’t know or care if the integration has been built correctly. You can set up automated checks with CPIlint or SAP's new Guideline checks, but that will not give you a lot of extra knowledge about what is going on. There are a lot of cases that even if the iFlows is valid base on the above check everything is fine. But you need someone to really take into account if the iFlow is defined correctly or it could be built better. If you don’t have such a person on-hand. Pay a freelancer 20-50 EUR/USD per iFlow they review. That is especially true if you deal with consultants from other teams than your main tool. With Figaf you have all the content needed to approve a transport correctly. It gives you much more context about what you are transporting and the impact of your test cases for such changes. Who approves your transport?

I created the following meme.

SAP Integration at SAP Sapphire analyzed by Figaf Partner?

I know SAP Sapphire Orlando was last week and SAP Sapphire Barcelona was this week but I can't not share insights from one of our Partners. David Morin shared his thoughs on the topic of integration with a number of mentions of Figaf.

Does a One-to-One migration makes sense?

Does a one-to-one migration make sense? The short answer? No The long answer? Well.... There is a lot to gain from redesigning your integration to run in a modern way using an events or API. Rebuilding your processes can you a lot of time in for onboarding partners or selling more. If you need to redesign your integration it will require: - Business experts to help with the content - You have architects that have time to work on the project. - Budget to spend money now If you don’t have the 3 criteria, redesign will not be possible. I'm of course biased by having a great tool for migrating 1:1 SAP PI content to iFlows with a click. I always recommend checking it out. Check out our blog about 1:1 migrations.
