SAP Consultants: Avoid these Mistakes
Abdullah Galal ??

Projects usually get very busy, and as we get swamped by deadlines, deliverables and long daily meetings we usually lose track of our goals in the project.
A project is a Learning Experience and a Reference for future customers
A consultant's target in any project is to learn as much as he can, and leave a good impact with the coworkers and the customer
It doesn't matter who takes credit for the solution!
No one will remember this in the future, but they will definitely remember any clashes you have with your teammates and it will impact your reputation a lot.
Recruiters and customers ask for solutions you know and for project references, not if you invented the solution or someone else!
It doesn't matter who the management likes!
Don't waste your efforts trying to show off to your managers that you're the best! We switch companies a lot and managers change a lot, so this effort is better used on another target
Don't leave a negative impact with your teammates!
The most common way to find a great project is by getting referred by someone there, anyone you work with today can refer you to another project in the future OR he can give a negative feedback about you.
It doesn't matter who is paid more or who gets a raise!
Each project and each company has a completely different pay scale, you can be working for $1000 one day and in the second day you find an opportunity for $4000
Feeling bad that your teammates are paid more than you will impact your performance and you'll miss the 2 main targets we agreed on: learning and leaving a good impact
Don't work in silence!
Marketing and personal branding are extremely important in our career! It's how we get projects, show our knowledge, win a good first impression and other things
Companies can't sell products without ads and huge marketing campaigns, and the same goes for us! No one will ask for your service if they don't know who you're and what you can provide.
I'll add more thoughts to the article if it gets good interaction!, so let me know what you think of the above, add your own points and share your experiences
