SAP Activate Methodology supports project management teams to complete the SAP S/4HANA project smoothly, faster and without/less risk either on premise/cloud implementation or migration.
SAP Activate Methodology also represents agile framework with combination of three pillar SAP Guided Configuration, SAP Best Practice and Methodology.
There are six phases of SAP Activate methodology:
1. Discover
2. Prepare
3. Explore
4. Realize
5. Deploy
6. Run
Every phase plays major role to complete our project smoothly with our project plan, quality and transparency. If we fail above of any phase then our project will be affected so make sure we should focus on each phase carefully.
1. Discover: Discover phase help us to get customer familiar with SAP S/4HANA before starting a project to implement SAP S/4HANA. We can also take experience of Fiori (UX) etc.
Deliverables:
a. Trial SAP S/4HANA System
b. Understand SAP Solution Capabilities
c. Determine the SAP Implementation Strategy
d. Create a business case and development roadmap
e. Understand the business value and benefit of SAP S/4HANA for our organization
2. Prepare: Prepare phase helps us to do the initial planning and preparation for the project. We define the goal of project, scope, roles & responsibility for a project team, and a project plan including quality and risk plan.
Deliverables:
a. Receive the starter system with SAP Best Practice.
b. Project initiation and governance.
c. Project plan, schedule and budget.
d. User learning strategy
e. Consulting team self enablement
3. Explore: Explore phase helps us to perform fit/gap workshops to identify configuration and extensions that best meet the customer business requirements.
Deliverables:
a. Execution and monitoring of project
b. Prepare for the fit to standard analysis
c. Define configuration
d. Output document templates definition
e. Request quality system
f. Data load preparation
g. User access and security
h. Testing planning
i. User learning needs analysis and plan
4. Realize: In Realize phase, the project team uses a series of iterations to incrementally configure, test, confirm, and document the entire end-to-end solution and to load data. The project team actively works with business representatives to ensure good fit of the built solution. The Project Team releases results of multiple iterations to the business users to accelerate time-to-value and provide early access to finalized functionalities.
We also request to do the setup production environment, prepare for data migration and data archiving, finalize user training materials and documentation.

5. Deploy: Deploy phase is to use setup production system, confirm customer organization readiness and switch business operation to the new SAP S/4HANA system.
We finalize the solution and business processes for production golive,resolve all open issues,execute transition and cutover plans including organization change management plans.

c. Testing of integration on the production system
d. Production cutover
e. System Go-live
f. Hyper care support
6. Run: Run phase is to continue adoption of implemented solution across the organization. In this phase customer also adds new users, enables their business users to execute the business transaction.
We Provide the hyper care support to business user, understand business users issue and provide the solution.

b. Hyper care support
c. Continuous Learning if required.

5 å¹´Yes the Good thing about this methodology is Business or Client or End Users or Super users involvement/participation is right from the beginning and each part of the phase avoiding any new Surprises during UAT or Go-Live.?
