SANY Renewable Energy in Kazakhstan
In 2022, SANY Renewable Energy entered Kazakhstan’s renewable energy sector with the successful bid for two wind power projects—Arkalyk and Dostyk—boasting a total installed capacity of 98 MW. By the end of 2023, both projects were fully commissioned and connected to the grid. Together, they now provide over 400 million kWh of clean electricity annually, powering approximately 12,000 homes and helping to reduce CO? emissions by 176,000 tons per year.
The Arkalyk project has received significant recognition, being named a "Best Practice Case in International Energy Cooperation" by China’s National Energy Administration. Beyond contributing to Kazakhstan’s renewable energy capacity, these projects have created local jobs for young adults and stimulated the development of the wind power industry in the region, underscoring SANY Renewable Energy’s commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth.
