SA/NT News & Events - 22 August 2024

Experienced manager coach, trainer & leader with a passion for strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, team building, growth & self development
Last night we had an amazingly insightful event with Nick Haslam where around 40 members heard about his journey as a Chartered Accountant from Big 4 into the sport and media industries. The feedback from members in attendance was outstanding and YCA Panel member Tyson Staples did an amazing job hosting Nick for some Q&A. Thank you to everyone that attended, and to those that didn't - make sure you don't miss out next time!
Next up, the Public Practice Panel is inviting members from small and sole practice to join them for a discussion on current challenges facing the sector and to hear from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Australian Tax Leader Susan Franks speak on the latest news regarding advocacy on the Tax Agent Code. Register here if you would like to attend. Members may also like to read our CEO's article in the Financial Review on this matter.
We have a few spots left for a focus group with Rippling, a company with a software solution that unifies HR, IT, and onboarding/offboarding in one platform. Rippling is keen to engage with a select group of high growth, tech-savvy public practice firms, with the objective of conducting focus group research by way of a virtual lunch meeting, to better understanding the accounting landscape in Australia, and explore how we can partner with and motivate accounting firms to consider Rippling and refer our solutions. Participants will receive a $100 Prezzee voucher for their time, please reach out to Scott McKenzie if you would like to attend.
Finally, with just under a month to go, we have sold more than half of the available tickets to the SA Business Summit. I suggest you do not wait to long to secure your 6 hours of CPD and the chance to hear from CA ANZ CEO Ainslie van Onselen . Register today !
