Sands of time

The sands of time
And the winds of change keep moving
Wild and free
Always towards the future
Leaving the past -firmly behind
It's important to enjoy the present before looking too far ahead
As no one is promised tomorrow - so don't leave things left unsaid
Feeling the same inside as I age away
My inner child still content and wanting to play
Daydreaming away
How fast time seems to be flying
The day's turn into weeks -and half the year is gone
This treadmill of life at times -can feel full on
Making time to enjoy the beauty all around
Appreciating the sights, smells, tastes and the sounds
Making time for you -to do what you want to do
Taking time for play and not letting work get in the way
Walks by the sea, enjoying the woodland view
Visiting friends and catching up with family
Fresh air clears your mind
Setting your soul free
Dancing in the rain
Enjoying the shower
Getting lost by the hour
Photos capture that snap shot in time
The places, the people the smiles on their faces
Evoking the feelings like your there again
Treasured thoughts of those special times
Valuing the vision as the last grain of sand quietly slips through the palm of your hand x
