What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

For me, Women's Day is about equal rights for women - not only in working life but in society in general. It's a good opportunity to raise awareness about topics like women's rights and equality.

What advice would you give to women about their career?

Speaking for myself and from observations from female friends and colleagues - we women worry a lot more about the consequences of our actions and tend to have less confidence in ourselves than men.

To overcome this barrier, I can recommend every woman to build a network of trustworthy persons who especially support you in difficult and challenging situations. Connect with persons that can support you in succeeding in your career. Use your network to access information relevant to your personal growth (like career opportunities or salary). Exchange regularly with colleagues with whom you can openly share your concerns and struggles to support each other to feel less alone and powerless.

Especially at work, it helps to have allies to back you up in tough discussions or to have facts at hand to argue with more self-confidence.

Which woman inspires you the most at DCS?

I'm especially looking up to my colleague Nina Endler (Head of Marketing & Content). She is a strong female leader with a lot of expertise and competence in her functional area. Over the past year, she has built up from scratch DCS's marketing team and developed the entire marketing strategy for our product CHARGE NOW. Moreover, she is a truly authentic leader with a great personality. I'm glad to have such an awesome colleague at DCS!
