If you told me in 2010 when I started my www.quirkybooks.wordpress.com blog, that I would be speaking at Oxford University, I would have thought you were off-your-head-crazy! But here I am, 13+ years later, having accomplished just that!

And best of all, this year I became a bestselling author with Asexual Perspectives 47 Asexual Stories, Love, Life and Sex, ACElebration of Asexual Diversity book. And because I publish my own books under my own book publishing imprint of Quirky Books, I became a bestselling publisher too - double WOW!

This is a dream come true for me since I started my Quirky Books blog - I knew even back in 2010, that I wanted to be a registered publisher of Quirky Books - I wanted the name of my blog to be my own book publishing company - and in 2017, I achieved that.

My self-reinvention talk included my personal transformational life journey, and my discovery of being asexual in sexual orientation - not heterosexual, was a part of that.

It explored, how I went from:

Introverted, shy, lonely, suicidal, depressed, with no purpose -

Having social anxiety and feeling lonely, left out in groups...

Scared to go on social media...

Touch averse - especially with strangers... (even a tap on the shoulder I didn't like)...

Shy to talk about sex...

To being extroverted, loud, bubbly, talkative -

Discovering my life purpose... (and living it.)

Being all over social media...

....organising and hosting asexual meetups...

Being able to hug strangers... and kiss (some) guys in nightclubs I've only just met.

Being able to talk about sex and masturbation, as easily as drinking water... to help asexuals.
