Insights from LinkedIn's B2B Top Thinkers

Our first LinkedIn top thinker is Cassidy Shield , Chief Revenue Officer at Refine Labs. He shared quite a few gems with us in April, and this one in particular really stood out.

In this posts Cassidy highlights the importance of creative marketing strategies in B2B companies, and the reasons why they are often overlooked.

B2B marketing has been traditionally associated with a conservative approach, often focusing on rational benefits, features, and pricing. However, as the business landscape becomes more competitive and we see the B2B buyer experiences rival that of B2C, companies need to differentiate themselves by providing a unique and compelling value proposition that resonates with their target audience.

Creative marketing strategies that incorporate emotional appeals, storytelling, and innovative tactics can help B2B companies stand out, increase brand awareness, and foster customer loyalty. By investing in creativity, B2B companies can create a memorable and engaging customer experience that will ultimately drive sales and revenue growth.

Next to take the stage is Dick Bos , Senior Director Digital Marketing & e-commerce Healthcare at Philips. Dick Bos will be appearing on our podcast very soon which we are all very excited about! Amongst his posts of wisdom, we wanted to share this particular one.

This post highlights how SMBs are embracing digital transformation and the benefits they are reaping from it. From increased efficiency and enhanced customer experience to improved competitiveness and cost savings, SMBs are finding that digital strategy can help them level the playing field with industry giants and even surpass them. The post encourages SMBs to catch the digital transformation wave and shares some steps they can take to get started.

Finally, we want to highlight Ruben Mink , Chief Revenue Officer here at Sana Commerce and one of the hosts on our podcast B2B E-Commerce Accelerated. Ruben has been offering up some golden nuggets each week, but our April favorite would have to be the very foreboding sounding post titled “The low adoption cycle of MISTRUST."

Ruben explains in this post that the slow adoption of online sales channels in B2B is due to the long-lasting relationships between suppliers and customers built on trust.?Salespeople want to focus on high-value tasks to reach their targets, but simply adding a web store won't solve the problem. For online sales to be successful, buyers must also embrace it and place their orders online.

However, many buyers have a negative online experience because they can't trust the critical transactional data such as inventory levels, pricing, and delivery dates. This lack of trust creates a negative cycle that could lead to decreased adoption of online sales channels.

Check out his post to learn more and discover Rubens solution to this problem!
