San Diego Opera presents Puccini's La Bohème

San Diego Opera is excited to present Puccini’s La Bohème from October 24 to November 1 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. This will be a La Bohème that you will not want to miss with Grammy Award winning soprano Ana María Martínez as Mimì and tenor Joshua Guerrero as Rodolfo in his mainstage Company debut in an innovative production that will recreate the bohemian story we all love.

Our stellar cast includes Andrea Carroll as Musetta, Alexander Birch Elliot as Marcello, Colin Ramsey as Collin, Robert Mellon as Schaunaurd and Scott Sikon as Alcindoro. Live opera is back! This drive-in concept is inspired by a number of successful drive-in events in Europe and the United States. We have worked closely with industry leaders, medical professionals, stakeholders, county and government officials, as well as the artists and musicians to ensure everyone’s safety and security while we create a wonderful evening of opera.

For this event, guests will remain in their cars for the duration of the performance. The opera will be transmitted to car stereos via FM radio and large screens will show simulcasts of the singers on stage. Masks and social distancing protocols will be enforced when patrons briefly leave their cars.
