Sleep deprivation hits record high

Most Americans — particularly women and millennials — are not getting enough sleep. In a new Gallup poll , 57% of American adults said they would feel better with more shut-eye. That's a record going back to 2001 and a reversal from a decade ago when 56% said they got enough rest. But there's one big benefit to staying put in New York or Seattle, argues economist Enrico Moretti : future job prospects. While one third of America’s companies are exploring a four-day work week , Samsung recently introduced a six-day work week policy for their executives. The mandate comes amid financial struggles and increased competition in memory chip production. Executives from other divisions within Samsung are already working six days voluntarily, according to English language reports of The? Korea Economic Daily. The widely criticized move does not expect employees under the executive level to work an extra day.

Many companies ask for extra hours of work when they are in need, But companies has a short memory when decide to layoffs loyal employees. Also some companies like DuPont Pharmaceutical after I gave 9 years of outstanding work validating and starting a sterile plant. When I resigned to accept a General manager position didn’t give me a cent for the toughest time and days dedicated for an excellent job. DuPont are miserable ?? people miserable company with their employees. Jorge L Tirado PE; MSME
